Responsibilities

Review DoD systems and technologies to ensure they are designed, developed, and implemented with required security features.

Identify security requirements and constraints of the information system, employ best practices when implementing security controls, and incorporate security controls into the system design.

Implement security controls, conduct comprehensive security testing and validation, and continuously monitor and maintain the security posture of the information system.

Acquire and manage necessary resources to support IT security goals, ensure cybersecurity requirements are integrated into continuity planning, and identify security requirements specific to IT systems in all phases of the system life cycle.

Manage the monitoring of information security data sources, evaluate the effectiveness of cybersecurity safeguards, and validate the organization against policies to ensure compliance.

Monitor and audit national security systems and respective classified information, critical infrastructure, mission essential systems, high value assets, or other USCG information systems.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or Mathematics is preferred, but experience may be substituted for degree.

Recent experience with DHS, DoD, or other government agency in IT to include IA support with fifteen (15) years’ experience in Information Assurance/Cybersecurity

Demonstrated experience with DIACAP and RMF processes.

Must have CISSP/IAT Level 3.

Able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.

U.S. Citizenship.

Occasional travel may be required.

Must be willing to be onsite for 3 days a week.
