Responsibilities

Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers and product owners to design, develop, and maintain distributed web services that are robust, scalable, and high-performing.

Implement standard processes for distributed systems architecture, ensuring reliability, fault tolerance, and efficient communication between services.

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for web services using modern technologies and frameworks.

Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning sessions to uphold quality standards and drive continuous improvement.

Troubleshoot and debug issues in distributed systems, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing performance.

Contribute to the documentation of system architecture, design decisions, and technical specifications.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of working experience in software development in a technical role.

3+ years experience in Kotlin or Scala.

Familiarity with web service technologies like RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud computing.

Knowledge of data structures and database systems.

Excellent communication skills and a passion for learning and growing in a fast-paced tech environment.

Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.

Knowledge of message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication.

Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and handling distributed systems.

Understanding of security principles and standard methodologies for securing distributed web services.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks for continuous integration and deployment.
