Responsibilities

Accountable for Protection, Control, Measurements, and SCADA scoping/design/engineering/relay settings and compliance deliverables for ED’s station projects

Lead group responsible for performing system protection studies and developing station/line relay settings

Manage quality control issues and coordinate with stakeholders, customers, and partners to investigate and resolve quality problems as they occur

Represent PCE function on Station Engineering technical issues that arise with internal and external stakeholders

Provide technical direction and feedback to counterparts in other Protection and Control functions within AEP

Ensure that the ASPEN fault study cases are maintained across the NERC Region

Ensure that compliance policies and processes for settings and drawings are implemented consistently across the region and various supervisors

Ensure that the PCE standards are consistently applied across the assigned project portfolio

Required

Education: BSEE or equivalent field of study from an ABET accredited college

Registration as a Professional Engineer in any state of the U. S is preferred

Ten years of experience in Transmission including 6 years experience in the design, construction and operation of protection and control systems
