Responsibilities
Assist the Installation Manager in locating and evaluating potential independent installation contractors.
Foster a strong working relationship with installation contractors, focusing on creating a culture of feedback, coaching, and accountability.
Audit the paperwork for every installation job to ensure materials are available and the scope of work matches the sales proposal.
Contribute to the daily allocation of projects and follow every job to completion utilizing Empire Today systems.
Engage with Installation contractors who are onsite to resolve basic customer issues, troubleshoot technical questions, and address customer change order processing.
Discuss the scope and monetary and material impact of change orders with customers and gain approval to proceed-- securing payment for added scope from customers, updating paperwork, and facilitating payment processing.
Build Trust through Integrity by ensuring ethical business practices are followed with contractors.
Perform periodic job-site visits at the direction of the Installation Manager to ensure customer satisfaction and identify any variance to industry installation standards.
Respond to customer concerns and provide excellent customer service during and after installation.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful project completion.
Assist with general warehouse duties including loading or unloading trucks, picking materials, preparing returns, and returning stock to bins.
Perform other functions as necessary or as assigned.

Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong computer systems skills including all Microsoft applications and order management software programs.
Proficient in the fundamentals of carpet and flooring installations.
Strong ability to effectively communicate in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
Team player and supports positive subcontractor rapport.
Ability to work in office and warehouse setting, some regular evenings, weekends, shifts, off site and/or with customers.
Ability to spend approximately 60% of time working in the office and warehouse on a computer which requires the ability to use a keyboard to enter data. 40% of time is spent in the field on job site visits and/or inspections.
Ability to drive to job sites/inspections.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty pounds (i.e., installation materials and supplies, etc.).
Ability to move throughout the office and warehouse.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position physically and mentally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
Working knowledge of home improvement codes, permitting, and licensing requirements preferred.
Experience with material take-offs, additions, and estimating competency a plus.
