Responsibilities
Design and implement security measures and controls to protect digital systems and sensitive information.
Conduct regular system tests and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats or weaknesses.
Develop and maintain security protocols and procedures to ensure a high level of security in software development and deployment.
Monitor systems for any unusual activities and respond to security incidents and breaches.
Collaborate with the development team to advocate for secure coding practices and integrate security measures into the development lifecycle.
Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously enhance our security posture.

Required
Proven experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of information security principles, practices, and technologies.
Proficiency with security technologies and tools (firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection/prevention systems, etc.).
Familiarity with network security and data encryption.
Experience with vulnerability and penetration testing.
Knowledge of security protocols, authentication, and authorization.
Understanding of risk assessment procedures, policy formation, role-based authorization methodologies, and security attack pathologies.
3+ years of experience in information security or cybersecurity.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive security protocols and measures.
Experience responding to and managing security incidents and breaches.
A proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
Able to work independently, managing your workload effectively in a remote setting.
Excellent communicator, capable of conveying complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Passionate about staying ahead of the curve in cybersecurity trends and technologies.
Preferred
Experience with cloud security in environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
