Responsibilities
Analyze US and foreign IP prosecution correspondence, identify applicable information, and enter in docket system
Review and identify incoming communications requiring priority processing
Calendar and de-docket IP due dates in the docket system
Proactively monitor due dates to ensure all deadlines are timely met
Advise attorneys and legal staff on issues related to maintaining and clearing docket
Prepare reports for attorneys and clients
Monitor and maintain integrity of data in docket system
Provide recommendations to improve patent/trademark docketing processes
Serve as a mentor to IP Docket Specialists
Stay informed of US and foreign PTO rules and procedures
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required
Minimum 10 years of experience in IP docketing
Strong substantive knowledge of US and foreign patent/trademark docketing practices
Familiarity with US and foreign IP record systems (e.g. Patent Center, TSDR, TTABVUE, PATENTSCOPE, Espacenet, EPO Register, WIPO Madrid Monitor, TMview)
Knowledge of IP docket software, preferably CPI, and excellent technical skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Accurate data entry skills
Preferred
Associate degree or higher
