Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement predictive and descriptive models to identify and prevent financial crime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure models meet business needs and regulatory standards.
Continuously improve and refine models based on feedback and performance metrics.
Utilize knowledge of AML regulations and financial crime typologies to inform model development and testing.
Conduct extensive back-testing and stress-testing of models to ensure they perform well under various scenarios.
Work with large datasets to extract, clean, and preprocess data for model development.
Apply advanced statistical techniques and methodologies to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
Communicate complex statistical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Proactively identify and address challenges related to data, model accuracy, and operational implementation.
Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement innovative solutions to complex problems.

Required
Proven experience in developing and deploying transaction models in a financial crime or AML context.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
Solid understanding of statistical methods and their application in real-world scenarios.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and innovative mindset.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts to a diverse audience.
Experience with AML regulations and financial crime prevention strategies.
