Responsibilities

Lead a team of specialized hydrologic and hydraulic engineers in designing, analyzing, and reviewing drainage systems, stormwater management facilities, and erosion and sediment control measures for roadway, sidewalk, shared-use path, bridge, and facility projects.
Design drainage improvement projects including outfall rehabilitation, stream stabilization and restoration, storm drain and culvert enhancements, and stormwater management retrofit projects.
Manage engineering projects as a licensed, professional engineer, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success and compliance with environmental regulations.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and evaluations to assess project needs and requirements.

Required

Possession of a Maryland Professional Engineer license, in the appropriate option, is required. Evidence of license must be presented at the time of appointment.
One (1) year of experience managing engineering projects as a licensed, professional engineer.
Two (2) years of water resources or environmental engineering design experience including one (1) year project management experience related to highway drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, drainage outfall channel stabilization, or stream restoration.
Candidates must possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the state of Maryland.
