Responsibilities
Performing inventories of the laboratory and determining supplies that need to be purchased, perform general laboratory maintenance tasks such as cleaning of glassware, eye washer checks and calibration of equipment, and assist with training students in the laboratory setting.
Assisting in surgery, pre-and post-surgical care of animals, harvesting tissue, culturing cells/tissue.
Performing molecular biology assays
Collecting, processing, and analyzing data from experiments performed on cultured cells
General maintenance of the laboratories; glass washing, preparation of solutions and media; filing MSD sheets
Keeping records of chemicals and supplies and working with the PI to order necessary supplies
Helping the PI to maintain the laboratory protocols and certifications

Required
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences or related field with a minimum of 3 years of related professional lab research experience.
Must have experience in small animal handling and/or molecular biology techniques
Preferred
Three (3) years experience in animal study, cell culture, and/or molecular biology studies (including adenoviral transfections, RTPCR, Western Blot, etc)
