Responsibilities
Lead the QA/QC department to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Supervise detailed inspections of electrical infrastructure components and ensure adherence to contract requirements and company best practices.
Oversee the review and approval of drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications.
Verify compliance with industry standards and regulations, and ensure adherence to company quality control procedures and safety protocols.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Identify and implement opportunities for improving quality assurance and quality control processes and procedures.
Ensure all activities are performed following environmental regulations and safety standards.
Develop and maintain Summit’s Quality Assurance Manual and assist with preparing QA/QC deliverables for bid pursuits.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior QA/QC management for construction projects, high voltage
Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CQM) are highly desirable
Strong knowledge of electrical substation construction processes and standards
Strong knowledge of high voltage electric transmission and distribution construction and maintenance
Proficiency in QA/QC methodologies, tools, and techniques
Leadership and Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a large team of QA/QC professionals
Effective communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Strong problem-solving and strategic decision-making capabilities
Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards (NEC, NESC, etc.)
Experience working with regulatory agencies and conducting compliance audits
Analytical and Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze complex QA/QC data
Superior organizational skills to manage multiple large-scale projects and priorities effectively
Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
Preferred
Technical Skills: Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc.) is a plus
