Responsibilities
Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
Help provide technical assistance on the project, interpret contract drawings and submittals
Assist assistant superintendent, project superintendent, and project manager with daily and weekly tasks including reports, safety walks, quantity reports, and schedule updates
Understand the project schedule and the critical path
Review content for the short-term plan
Participate in the quality program including attending meetings, performing inspections, and verifying materials

Required
Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture or equivalent in education or experience
10 plus years’ experience in interior design practice with 5 years prior project management experience in all phases of projects through post-occupancy
Ability to work in a team environment
LEED credential required within 6 months of employment
Advanced knowledge of design principles and the ability to interpret design concepts and layouts, including commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the profession
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
Advanced knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
Advanced knowledge of furniture types, vendors, fixtures and equipment, architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color and materials to carry out design intent
Knowledge of building regulations and safety codes
Advanced knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines
Knowledge of buildingSMART, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)
Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients
Ability to effectively meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Proficiency in the basic technical skills of interior design including the following computer skills: Proficiency in Deltek Vision highly preferred, Proficiency in MS Project preferred, Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook required, Proficiency in Newforma preferred, Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred, Knowledge of Revit preferred, Knowledge of 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max, Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred
