Responsibilities

Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track project timelines.
Monitor projects regularly by tracking spending, performing reconciliations, and providing documentation to ensure project compliance.
Review grant applications to determine and define project scope and objectives.
Participate in the evaluation of projects assigned to this position including assessment of best practices, lessons learned, and performance improvement opportunities.
Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and progress maps to document scope of work.
Measure project performance using measurable tracking tools such as Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Excel to assist in the reporting process of grants and identify areas of improvement.
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and process.
Align project guidelines with internal grant standard operating procedures.
Establish guidelines for marketing campaigns and recruitment efforts per project/grant to reach girl and/or volunteer enrollment goal.
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
Submit invoice documentation and approvals for project/grant purchases following internal grant standard operating procedures.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/schools through regular interval meetings, conferences, and events; schedule and attend project/grant program funder site visits to assure quality assurance.
Monitor third party MOU and performance measures to ensure compliance with grant agreements.
Plan and coordinate resources necessary for project/grant metrics such timelines, schedules, and recruitment.
Create job descriptions when necessary and interview applicants hired through projects on a contractual, part-time and/or full-time basis.
Supervise and coordinate onboarding and training schedules for employees hired on a contractual, part-time, and/or full-time basis.
Train existing and new staff members when launching new programs and curricula.
Ensure project/grant activities align with project/grant metrics when promoting awareness of Girl Scouts partnerships.
Develop, administer, and evaluate project/program goals, effectiveness, results, and participant satisfaction.
Keep current on project management methodologies, practices, and systems.
Perform additional duties as assigned to assist in the fulfilment of the council's mission and goals.
Serve as a key member of the Membership, Volunteerism, and Program (MVP) Leadership Team; assist with MVP and GSCM programs, events, and activities as business needs dictate and/or as assigned.

Required

College degree or equivalent experience in project management with three or more years of experience in a leadership role.
Experience in youth programming and evaluation.
Adept in using a variety of project management platforms and methods.
Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies, tools, and practices.
Ability to design, plan, conduct, and analyze project/program evaluations.
High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, data analysis, evaluation implementation, and reporting experience.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including presentations.
Action orientated; seeks challenges and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment; results driven.
Strong ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds and establish quick rapport with others at all organizational levels.
Skilled in using sound judgment and applying critical thinking skills when making decisions; capability to be creative in troubleshooting, problem solving, and resolving technical issues.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office software; experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or database systems, as well as experience using virtual platforms such as Zoom, Go To Webinar/Meeting.
Must be able to work a varied, flexible schedule, including frequent evenings and occasional weekends, and be willing to travel throughout the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland jurisdiction.
Valid driver's license and access to motor vehicle, necessary to carry out responsibilities.
Ability to lift 30 pounds.
Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
Must subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout Movement and become a registered member of Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA).

Preferred

Knowledge of the Girl Scout experience helpful, but not necessary.
