Responsibilities
Maintains a thorough working knowledge of hospital physician applications, related clinical systems, integration points, and technical interfaces.
Provides primary support and maintenance for physician systems as determined by the Physician Systems Special Projects Coordinator or Physician Systems Managers.
Maintains issues in ITSM solution and conducts regular and thorough follow-up with interested parties.
Updates ITSM solution with appropriate documentation related to issue status, resolution information, knowledge base information, etc.
Serves as team lead for physician support team.
Educates and mentors physician support team analysts; cross-trains new analysts on physician technologies; servers as escalation point for challenging issues; communicates leadership as needed regarding high and critical issues.
Performs system activities related to physician technology projects including design, build, testing, implementation, training, and go-live support.
Serves as a liaison between the Information Systems department and the physician community and develops strong relationship with physicians and physician practice leadership to ensure high levels of physician satisfaction.
Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Immediately reports and mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to the director.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
3 years of experience in healthcare information technology or related field
Experience with hospital physician applications, related clinical systems, integration points, and technical interfaces
Experience in providing primary support and maintenance for physician systems
Experience in maintaining issues in ITSM solution and conducting regular follow-up
Experience in updating ITSM solution with appropriate documentation related to issue status and resolution information
Experience in serving as a team lead for a support team
Experience in educating and mentoring support team analysts
Experience in cross-training new analysts on physician technologies
Experience in serving as an escalation point for challenging issues
Experience in performing system activities related to physician technology projects
Experience in serving as a liaison between Information Systems department and physician community
Experience in developing strong relationships with physicians and physician practice leadership
Knowledge of proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
