Fixture Design Project Lead

Responsibilities
Uses project management expertise to drive development and support all aspects in fixture design.
Works closely with fixture vendors to understand general manufacturing methods such as differentiating materials and finishes and provides functionality know-how for new and existing designs.
Sustains quality control over vendor's fixture manufacturing processes.
Compares a substantial quantity of manufacturing drawings and fixture samples to preserve a high level of fixture quality using an iPad Pro.
Holds vendors accountable by participating in weekly vendor conference calls, vendor Skype drawing reviews, and prototype set-ups and reviews.
Provides direction and feedback through recaps to ensure deliverables and timelines are met.
Identifies root causes of failed issues with prototypes and provides solutions.
Collaborates with Engineer and internal business partners to keep projects on track by managing and measuring workload and timelines for Direct Imports and company.
Supports Engineer in leading Direct Import fixture reviews when necessary.
Supports the samples and first articles of production in test labs, including but not limited to inventorying all Direct Import fixtures; prototype/sample set-up and review; reorganization and purging of fixtures; and maintaining labs to keep them clean and organized.
Partners with Store Project Planning & Execution in POC store visits/lab reviews to evaluate first articles of production.
Validates required fixture qualities of fit, function, and finish from prototype to production.

Required
BA/BS in architecture, interior design, industrial design or related field required.
Minimum of 18 months of experience in project management is required.
Proficient knowledge of fixture design and/or retail industry is required.
Strong MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, Skype, iPad Pro experience is required.
Strong communication skills - both verbal and written - is required.
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to analyze situations and make logical conclusions.
Able to handle service matters professionally, confidentially, and quickly.
Must be self-reliant and self-assured to make independent decisions within framework of company protocol.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Able to calmly handle high-stress situations with tact and professionalism.
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize these tasks, and follow-up to ensure timely results.
Excellent interpersonal and adaptability skills with the ability to promote a good working environment.
Proficiency in the use of computers for: Advanced Microsoft Office skills for using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Creation of pivot tables, bar graphs, and spreadsheets using Excel. Ability to apply V-lookups to project Excel worksheets. Microsoft Outlook for email and calendar. Internet.
