Responsibilities

Support the creation, maintenance, and optimization of Big Data Hadoop systems and analytics repositories.

Work closely with Big Data system/software designers, operators, and engineering for platform R&D.

Assist with software installation, hardware integration, system testing, and perform upgrades and repairs to the Big Data environment.

Perform key Linux configuration per Platform engineering requirements.

Design and build data pipeline frameworks to automate high-volume and real-time data delivery for on-premises and/or cloud platforms.

Use open-source tools such as Hive, NiFi, Druid, Java, Pig, etc.

Required

Education in cyber security

Good knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and devices

Passion for a career in cyber security

Professional oral and written communication skills

Ability to collaborate with a team

Basic knowledge of Big Data tools and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Map Reduce, Hive, Impala)

Knowledge of at least one Cloud service provider (Azure preferred)

Network technologies (firewall, proxy, DNS, NetFlow)

Experience with Active Directory

Experience with Windows/Linux operating systems

Knowledge of network communications and routing protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, ICMP, BGP, MPLS)

Familiarity with common internet applications and standards (e.g., SMTP, DNS, DHCP, SQL, HTTP, HTTPS)

Self-motivated and able to work remotely

Ability to prioritize workload

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred

Prior usage of Kubernetes

Linux proficiency

Scripting experience (e.g., Ansible)

Relevant Certifications: Azure or AWS certifications
