Responsibilities

Work with clients to introduce and implement agile software development practices like design thinking, test-driven development, and continuous-release deployment.

Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences and language to deliver user-driven functionality and business value.

Pair with customers' developers to teach and deliver working software solutions, ensuring reliable delivery week over week.

Build software that aligns with user needs, business objectives, and stakeholder vision, making informed engineering decisions based on validated assumptions.

Required

3-6 years of Software Development experience in a variety of programming languages

Strong communication skills and interest in a pair-programming environment

Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies

Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and challenging problems

Experience with PHP, Kotlin, Java, or Javascript

Experience with Spring Boot, React.JS, Vue or Redux

Experience with both frontend and backend

Experience using container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes

Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and processes such as Git, Concourse, GitLabCI, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix

Demonstrated experience with API Development

You are comfortable running your software in Linux environments

You have a strong understanding of algorithms, databases, design patterns, and understand how to apply them

You have strong facilitation skills

BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred

Experience in training, mentoring and/or upskilling engineers

Experience developing cloud-native applications

Experience leading a product or development team

Experience building and deploying in a continuous delivery environment

Experience working directly with clients

Strong facilitation skills

Experience with DoD, especially at a DoD "Software Factory"
