Responsibilities
Answer all incoming calls promptly and handle charges on incoming collect calls.
Operate the PBX equipment, assist with outgoing calls, schedule wake-up calls, and page guests.
Maintain good customer relations by staying informed about in-house and area functions.
Courteously answer inquiries, accept reservations, and use suggestive selling techniques to increase occupancy and revenue.
Resolve guest problems and requests promptly and accurately.
Process and file check-in and check-out slips efficiently.
Prepare wake-up sheets, set wake-up calls, and handle guest-related mail.
Maintain the fax machine, receive guest faxes, and process charges.
Handle emergencies according to established procedures.
Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required
High school education or equivalent experience.
Excellent hearing required to clearly hear the guest.
Moderate vision required to read the computer screen and the guest registration rack.
Excellent speech communication skills required to clearly understand the operator.
Moderate comprehension and literacy required to ensure calls are directed properly and messages are taken accurately.
