Responsibilities

Independently plan, manage, and execute experiments and biological projects.
Develop, implement, and conduct mechanistic studies for the discovery of molecular glue discovery.
Investigate novel targets and modalities using molecular biology and functional genomics techniques.
Employ gene editing techniques in physiologically relevant cell models to identify hits and conduct high throughput screens as needed.
Provide functional genomics and molecular biology support across CPD projects.
Collaborate with scientific groups within the Center (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, computational biology) to select appropriate experiments for molecular glue discovery.
Collect and analyze experimental data, and determine next steps based on outcomes.
Train research technicians and other scientific staff in methods and techniques.
Prepare presentations and present project status and outcomes at internal and external meetings.
Prepare papers and publications as necessary.
Maintain clear and accurate records of experimental work, including methods and results.

Required

PhD degree in molecular/cellular biology, cancer biology or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in gene editing techniques to evaluate functional phenotypes and elucidate mechanistic biology.
Familiarity with proteomics, proliferation/viability assays, cell sorting and flow cytometry.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proven scientific drive, demonstrated by a strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GraphPad Prism software.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.

Preferred

Experience managing multi-faceted projects.
Experience supervising junior staff.
