Responsibilities
Screen, interview, hire, train, and supervise Transitions Residential Youth Counselors.
Coordinate with Case Managers, Housing Program Managers, and the Director of Youth Housing to provide consistent support among housing programs in collaboration with Senior Program Manager.
Monitor staff follow-through on tasks, policies, and procedures by providing supportive leadership to staff. Conduct and schedule team meetings, supervisions, training, and employee performance reviews at least once yearly and complete necessary employee paperwork.
Support initial intake and assessment of all youth and the development of individual goal plans. Assure access to education, life skills, and other opportunities for youth.
Conduct regular medication audits and oversee the coordination of youth medications and pharmacy relations.
Provide supportive supervision of youth in care and follow through on behavior expectations. Lead staff in having a high level of expectation and support for youth.
Manage the Youth Council, Golden Dustpan, Cocoon Bucks, Allowance, Jobs, Cocoon Store, and donation room.
Oversee day-to-day operations and facility compliance, shift coverage, and reporting facility and maintenance needs. This includes fire drills, unit inspections, environmental checklists, reviewing youth logs, and pass-down processes.
Oversee proper collection of data and compliance on contracts and licensing through reporting, managing the program budget and credit card usage.
Be available to staff for emergency consultation. Assess dangerous or emergency situations, respond appropriately, and participate in on-call rotation.
Work with other HUB based staff to address community concerns that arise and maintain healthy relationships with neighbors.
Follow mandated reporter requirements by documenting incidents and calling CPS. Follow-up on CPS and non-CPS incidents.

Required
Must be 21 years of age or older
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of similar, full-time experience working with vulnerable populations; OR An associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of similar, full-time experience working with vulnerable populations; OR Three years of similar, full-time experience working with vulnerable populations.
At least 1 year of management experience, leading and supervising a team.
DCYF background clearance
Acceptable driver's abstract with no more than 2 violations within last 3 years
Possess a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation
Ability to effectively communicate with all internal and external clients
Be able to hear voices and alarms.
Ability to read and comprehend a variety of materials
Ability to operate phone, computer, and record information for files and logs
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must have the ability to run up and down indoor and outdoor stairwells in case of youth emergency.
