Responsibilities
Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues (Tier 1 and 2) related to the Enterprise Physical Access Control Systems (EPACS).
Provides support in the less technical disciplines of IT, such as system operations, configuration, and diagnosis.
Participates in system field and design document reviews and online operational checkouts.
Acts as a team member or Team Lead as required.
Provides resolution to EPACS Tier 2 non-Hirsch related issues and a significant portion of Tier 1 issues.
Assists customers to resolve technical issues related to physical access systems via different support channels.
Fully documents all interactions and follows procedures regarding contact handling, resolution, and escalation.
Provides consultative assistance for EPACS projects, including new installations or system replacements.
Troubleshoots a variety of EPACS equipment, including Hirsch and other types.
Complies with IRS mandatory annual Computer Security Awareness and UNAX briefing requirements.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and 3 years’ experience operating and maintaining an enterprise class Physical Access Control System and one year working as a service desk assistor.
Hirsch certified with two plus years’ experience (Hirsch “IDENTIV” certification is required, but if all other factors are present, company will consider providing Hirsch training and certification).
Certifications such as CISCO Networking, Microsoft Operating System or Microsoft Database are highly desirable.
Must be able to obtain a Tier 4 Public Trust Clearance issued by the IRS once onboarded.
Proficiency in configuring Microsoft applications, operating systems, and databases or similar systems of network software products.
Excellent knowledge of networks, network management, and computer security practices, processes, and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to analyze security system devices and components from multiple vendors and must have prior experience in working in a technical assistance call center environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of installing, configuring, integrating, and testing hubs/concentrators, bridges, routers, servers, gateways, network switching devices, and/or multiplexed information systems and command and control systems.
IDENTIV certification preferred, or the ability to obtain IDENTIV certification
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
