Responsibilities

Preparation of required design, specifications, and details for assigned projects, ensuring integrity, efficient production, and adherence to budget limitations.
Coordinating with senior staff members and outside agencies for timely approval of work.
Assisting in the preparation of remedial details and seeking continuous improvement in design skills.
Staying updated on industry developments and contributing to enhancing the company's reputation.
Representing the company professionally and handling other assigned duties.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
4-6+ years of professional experience in water, wastewater, or stormwater related engineering and design is required.
Experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation for the drafting and design of civil structures is required.

Preferred

California Civil Engineering Professional Engineering License (PE) strongly preferred.
Knowledge of current stormwater green infrastructure BMP and LID standards preferred.
Knowledge of the County of LA Safe Clean Water Program preferred.
Experience preparing construction drawings for pipelines, pump stations, and/or stormwater green infrastructure including bioswales, engineered wetlands, street trees, diversion structures, hydrodynamic separators, underground storage, lift stations, pipelines, catch basins, sidewalk / curb & gutter, traffic striping and marking, and wastewater pipeline connections for stormwater diversion.
Experience preparing specifications & cost estimates for water, wastewater, or stormwater green infrastructure.
Experience performing hydrology and hydraulic calculations and modelling.
Experience with GIS preferred.
Advanced experience using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Excellent technical writing skills and communication skills.
