Responsibilities
Host, initiate, and execute Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
Optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and activities to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
Develop and drive project plans, action trackers, and measurement systems.
Present executive closeout presentations and report success through KPIs.
Establish a list of new improvement opportunities and initiatives.
Conduct routine GEMBA walks and promote Lean principles.
Author tools, templates, and standard work to facilitate Lean adoption.
Train and develop Lean skills throughout the workforce.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing technology, or related industrial or technical degree.
Formally trained through previous employer or third-party consultant on Lean Methodologies and Continuous Improvements tools, processes and best practices.
Prior experience putting training into practice with a résumé of completed Kaizen and Continuous Improvement projects. Ideally in a contract manufacturing, machine shop environment.
Strength in waste identification/elimination, GEMBA, value stream mapping, flow lines, process improvement, visual Management, 5S, and standard work.
Must be “hands-on” with the team and project. This is a “doer” role, and not just a project administrator.
Strong communication on project status, action items, executive summary and creation of KPIs to measure success and sustainment.
Keen observation skills, motivator and change agent.
