Responsibilities

Develop and manage a high-performing team of functional managers with a focus on accountability, engagement, continuous improvement, and inclusion.
Set and manage high performance expectations for the curriculum department through support and supervision of functional managers and their teams.
Establish and implement success criteria for the curriculum development organization and ensure alignment of support documentation and training.
Direct regular evaluation and revision of support documentation and training to support internal and external development teams.
Foster a community of trust and engagement through consistent communication and transparency.
Employ data analysis, judgment, and appropriate approaches to make effective decisions and manage outcomes.
Support the evaluation, establishment, and management of development partners.
Stay informed about the PVS product roadmap and strategy to empower curriculum development teams.
Represent PVS and the curriculum department in customer engagements and conferences.
Lead the implementation of department initiatives and process improvements.
Facilitate conflict resolution and relationship development with stakeholders.
Provide expertise in the specialized field and support various stakeholders.

Required

Master’s degree in Education or related field desired
Minimum of 10 years of experience in curriculum development or related functional areas
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the US K-12 education space, with at least 3 years in virtual learning preferred
Proven ability as a second-line manager, with success in developing managers and in driving their teams’ outcomes
Thorough understanding of K-12 academic standards and requirements, and their application in public institutions
Familiarity with current and proposed state legislation as it pertains to curriculum, virtual education, K-12 schools, etc.
Advanced knowledge of education management systems, learning management systems, and/or content management systems
Technologically proficient with Microsoft® Office, Azure Dev Ops, Google Suite, and ability to learn other software programs and technology platforms quickly
Must enjoy a challenging work environment that requires flexibility, self-direction, creativity, strong communication, and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
