Responsibilities

Build and support features for the main Simplr platform and associated services.

Help design the platform architecture in collaboration with the team

Driving the development of technical and product-focused projects

Implementing extendable design patterns within the codebase

Provide expertise from past experiences to help level up our current development practices.

Review code, provide insightful feedback and elevate the development team

Exercise ethical decision-making

Required

Ability to write extendable, maintainable, and traceable code

Comfortable with front end and back end technologies - we mostly use Node.JS and React with TypeScript

Experience with Web application development and expert level understanding of web technologies

A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms and software design

Good understanding of non-relational databases such as MongoDB and in-memory stores such as Redis

Good understanding of common cloud-native architectural and code design patterns

Great sense of ownership and productive autonomy

Good discernment on the tradeoffs between deliverability and quality

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

3 or more years of software development experience required
