Responsibilities

Responsible for designing and being hands-on in building applications that are reliable, scalable and easy to maintain

Ensure the quality of engineering direction across multiple teams within the organization

Contribute to architectural and code review discussions that impact the engineering ecosystem

Define standards to raise the bar of the teams you’ll be working with

Collaborate with leads and engineers across multiple teams to solve a wide variety of business and technical problems

Ensure systems are properly documented

Contribute to the growth and development of the Wayfair engineering organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

A passion for collaborating with cross-functional partners

Experience with full stack and/or mobile development

Familiarity with creating software tools and functionality, debugging code, and successfully incorporating feedback into your work

Knowledge and experience working with object oriented programming languages

Great skills in solving complex problems with simple abstract solutions

Experience or exposure to SQL, Java, and Python

Interest in working with big data and machine learning

Experience with using cloud platforms to solve problems

Preferred

3+ years of software development experience is preferred
