Responsibilities

Determine customer needs by specifying the research needed to obtain market information

Review product specifications and requirements to recommend the nature and scope of product lines

Appraise new product ideas or product or packaging changes

Provide source data for product line communications

Obtain product market share by working with sales to develop sales strategies

Prepare short and long term product sales forecasts

Facilitate inventory turnover, product availability, and adjust levels and production schedules

Bring new products to market, prepare ROI analyses, and establish time schedules with manufacturing and engineering

Introduce and market new products

Develop plans with sales, advertising, and production

Review production and sales costs

Anticipate volume, costing, and customized orders
