Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is offering an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. The intern will train as an ACCCIT Master Tradesperson, working closely with a mentor and senior leadership to develop skills in problem-solving, equipment operation, and project management.

Responsibilities

Actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership

Be able to develop skills needed to be presented with a problem, design solutions, fabricate the solutions, test the product, and make alterations based on feedback

Develop a good understanding of the tradesperson equipment, including operation, configuration, and maintenance of equipment

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem on ventilation systems, duct heater, TRV, 2PD and all associated ventilation equipment

Learn to schedule, report, and brief customers and senior management of work progress

Have the ability to read blueprints and research Technical Manuals
