Responsibilities

Review new Intelligence Edge Network (iEN) architectures, services and products to understand the overall design and the ability to translate them into requirements for our SDN development team.

The role will require you to be a liaison between the Networking and Development team:

50% Networking (Routing Protocols / Network Traffic / Design etc.. See below)

50% Programming (understand how it works with devices/ gateways / APIs / Netconf )

Support IT UAT and resolve any issues encountered during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Create JIRA and/or Agile Central stories and facilitate discussion between IT, developers and the various Planning teams.

Responsible for the SDN section of the design documents, which includes documenting the Sound bound APIs for the intended design and test/qualify all the SoundBound APIs.

Help develop roadmap and keep it up to date based on the SAFe program timelines.

Experience working within a Service provider environment/team.

Required

Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

Must have experience working with Ciena switches in the packet switching space

SDN/Network Design Architecture experience

Strong experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3

Network programmability technologies: Netconf, RestConf, REST APIs

Strong understanding of SDN/Network Design Architecture

Strong experience with L2/L3, switching, signaling protocols, routing protocols and technologies (IP, MPLS, BGP, Ethernet, spine/leaf architectures, etc.)

Configure routing and MPLS protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, LDP, RSVP) and line protocols (BFD, LACP, LLDP)

Experience with E-line and E-Lan

Experience designing and configuring networks supporting L2VPN and L3PVN services

Strong understand/experience in Network programmability technologies: Netconf, Yang, REST APIs

Well-versed in multiple network vendor equipment and their OSes (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Ciena, Arista, etc...)

Must have experience working with Ciena switches in the packet switching space

Network Telemetry technologies: Google Protobufs, gRPC, gNMI, Openconfig Yang models
