They are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to assist in developing interface software for high performance, real-time controls used in smart grid applications. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience in software development and product engineering.

Responsibilities

Implement features to configure, monitor, and update power system intelligent electronic devices, including advanced UX design, IDE development, graphical data representation and display, communication protocols, cybersecurity, and other relay, control and monitoring functions using .NET and C#

Implement designs based on product and interface requirements with guidance from lead software engineers

Work with functional managers, systems engineers, and lead software engineers to distill product/system requirements/use cases to software stories, developing module and system level code, and unit tests

Participate in tasks related to new product development including planning, task/story estimation, programming, unit testing, peer review, integration and release

Participate in the analysis and specification of software subsystems

Implement tests in support of developer testing activities and integration with Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines

Participate in design and code reviews

Required

Actively enrolled in or received a bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science at an accredited institution with a graduation date no earlier than December 2025

Minimum GPA of 2.8 or above

Able to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship

No relocation is offered for this position. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the Franksville, WI site
