Responsibilities

Responsible for contributing to the overall profitability of the E&S Casualty Division

Development, management, and execution of a plan to achieve profitable growth and mix of standalone E&S Casualty accounts, focused on primary General Liability.

Develop, manage and execute strategic an underwriting philosophy aimed at small to medium sized E&S casualty accounts written with attachment points reflective of the underlying exposures.

Evaluate individual broker performance and adjust action plans accordingly.

Monitor key competitors within territory and segment to position against competitor offerings.

Provide competitive intelligence and recommendations to management.

Develop reports that summarize book characteristics and will assist interested parties in evaluating the book.

Participate in claims review meetings and actuarial review meetings.

Maintain contact by phone and/or written correspondence with Skyward broker, policy administration and internal compliance personnel to resolve issues and foster good business relations.

Commercial Insurance ExperiencePrimary General Liability ExperienceBroker Relationships

Required

Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills

Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team to meet established deadlines

Strong relationships with agents and brokerages

Minimum 6 years’ experience with a commercial insurance company or facultative casualty company and at least 4 years of profitable standalone primary general liability experience

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
