Responsibilities
Contributes to the development and maintenance of financial reporting, planning and budgeting systems
Oversees the preparation of month-end, year-end and periodic reporting as well as required filings
Ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization
Act as liaison with auditors and external accounting team(s)
Assist with reporting to Senior Leadership and/or external agencies
Assist with Cash Flow forecasting
Oversee tax filing process(es) where appropriate
Coach and develop accounting staff
Assume special projects and duties as assigned or requested
Understand duties and responsibilities, possesses necessary job knowledge and technical skills, maintains job knowledge current
Assist with appropriate administrative and project support tasks supporting the needs of the project team and office
Complete assignments on time, within budget, and with highest level of quality
Routinely proposes and produces more effective ways to accomplish assignments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years' experience. With at least 2 years of Management experience
Architecture and Engineering industry experience required
Preferred
CPA designation desired but not required
CPA Firm Experience desired but not required
Knowledge of ERP systems, such as Deltek high preferred
Experience working within an architecture, engineering or construction setting is desired
