Responsibilities
Developing a roadmap for the product portfolio and bringing together a cross-functional team to make the vision a reality.
Overseeing all activities relating to strategy, planning, design, marketing and in-life optimization of C&S products in the portfolio.
Define Terrasun’s C&S offerings with detailed market evaluations, development schedules, cost models, and business case analysis that align with strategic and financial business objectives.
Own the product roadmap and be able to translate business strategy into executable product strategy.
Provide management with analyses, metrics, and reports on existing product performance and new product development.
Manage product profitability and commercial success – own the business case.
Specify and oversee the research and Sales VoC imperatives needed to determine the needs and desires of customers.
Defining product marketing communication objectives and coordinate with marketing teams to create the programs and collateral to market and sell a product effectively including insights on key differentiators and messages.
Drive action throughout the organization to get products to market.
Plan and carry out product launches.
Responsible for capturing and communicating high-level product requirements to functional teams and support questions during functional decomposition of product requirements into system and design requirements.
Support commercial and technical negotiations of BESS supply contracts.
Contribute to IHI Terrasun internal tools and processes for designing, proposing, and contracting BESS solutions.

Required
Undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other technical field from an accredited college/university or relevant B2B software product development evaluation and execution experience.
Ability to effectively work as an individual but also coordinate and work with a multi-disciplinary team is a must.
High capacity for organization and attention to detail.
Fast learner and capable of executing multiple projects and objectives.
Strong verbal and written skills
Proficiency in MS Office Skills (Office, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience in B2B utility scale battery storage controls or SaaS products, energy storage project development software integration, or industrial power generation software solutions.
Experience developing, defining, launching, delivering complete software and analytics systems.
Ability to simplify and eloquently communicate complex problems and at the same time go deep with those that have the technical expertise and desire to understand the details of the assumptions that go into each analysis.
Ability to follow and communicate, at an executive level, the requirement changes in key energy markets as well as customer project development and operational performance environments.
Demonstrated abilities: self starting, attention to detail & accuracy, strong analysis capabilities, confidentiality, decision-making, delegation, dependability, diplomacy, and ethical behavior.
Preferred
MBA
5+ years of experience in energy storage, renewable energy or related field
Demonstrated ability developing and launching BESS controls or B2B SaaS offerings
3 years of B2B software product management or program management experience
Technical knowledge of BESS subcomponent equipment including Batteries, Power Conditioning System (PCS), Energy Management System, Power Plant Controller, SCADA, and market bidding systems.
