Responsibilities

Collaborate with your team on development and testing to deliver new features

Solve technical problems and mentor others by sharing technical knowledge

Provide comprehensive feedback in design reviews and code reviews

Assess the impact of changes to identify opportunities and risks

Lead technical projects, share updates, and receive input

Author code aligned with internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices. Advocate for alignment with standards through code review

Collaborate with Application Architects to confirm technical solutions

Contribute to documentation to support design discussions

Required

5 + years of professional experience building reliable and well tested backend services for internal and external users

Experience with REST APIs (GraphQL also a plus)

Experience with SQL Databases (Postgresql a plus)

Experience with ORMs (Django, SQLAlchemy, a plus)

Experience with asynchronous task processing (Celery, RabbitMQ, a plus)

Experience with containerized environments (e.g. Docker, Rancher, Podman)

Experience with python (or similar languages) a plus

Experience with backend testing frameworks (pytest a plus)

Knowledge of Agile frameworks, ideally Scrum, and tools like Jira and Confluence

Ability to communicate in a team-oriented environment to clarify requirements and deliver solutions within committed timelines

Ability to provide feedback on coding standards through code reviews

Proven technical abilities, troubleshooting skills, and research abilities
