Responsibilities

Must have been a developer - 5+ years developer with back-end skills in Java, C#, Python, Go, C, Node.js, Rust. (Databases, either SQL or ideally NoSQL, multi-threaded code, ideally distributed systems.)
Helping upskill developers in the principles, practices, and tools that they need to be successful in AI
The ability to simplify complex topics into accessible, digestible, effective technical content
Excellent communicator of complex technical topics which include creating presentations/talks for the public developer community
Help to build a community of engineers invested in pushing the AI space forward
Working with a team and people who value clarity, creativity, passion, initiative, and thoughtfulness.
Strong communicator and AI educator for the broader developer community and ecosystem
Strong collaborator - with Product, Engineering and Marketing teams, as well as our executives.
The ability to regularly engage with community members in forums, chats, or meetups.

Required

AI expertise especially around vectors. Ideally has put an AI project into production
Familiarity with RAG, LLM, semantic search preferred

Subject matter expertise in Generative AI and related technology ecosystem
Helping upskill developers in the principles, practices, and tools that they need to be successful in AI
The ability to simplify complex topics into accessible, digestible, effective technical content
Excellent communicator of complex technical topics which include creating presentations/talks for the public developer community
Help to build a community of engineers invested in pushing the AI space forward
Working with a team and people who value clarity, creativity, passion, initiative, and thoughtfulness.
Strong communicator and AI educator for the broader developer community and ecosystem

Willingness and ability to learn.

Preferred

5+ years of development and industry experience in ML/AI, including code development and the creating of demos to exhibit products. (A link to demos of this would be great!)
Excellent presentation skills are a must
Strong business acumen and understanding of how the AI industry landscape will evolve in the next 5-10 years
Enthusiasm and passion for the technology and for serving our community of users
You are passionate about developers. Advocate for them and are enthusiastic about teaching them about AI and technical topics, now and the future of this
Be willing to work with our internal engineers as well as respond to challenges and questions developers may have with our products and offerings with AI/ML/vector, You’ll be pegged as the SME on the DevRel team
Understanding the importance of community and considering this as part of their everyday relationship building is important
You’ve worked as a Developer Advocate, Technical Community Manager, or Product Manager
Engage with users regularly through different channels, including but not limited to GitHub, Stack Overflow, and Discord.
Familiarity with Common Room is welcomed
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a flexible environment
Ability to be calm in the face of pressure
Ability to handle uncertainty and bring structure amongst chaos
Ability to motivate and inspire team members to exceed expectations
Experience working effectively with internal and external partners in an ever-changing, rapid-growth environment, especially in a matrixed organization
