Civil Project Manager (Pipelines)
Garver is an employee-owned engineering, planning, and environmental services firm focused on water and wastewater services. The Civil Project Manager will manage projects and develop designs for various Water Business Line projects, while also mentoring team members and ensuring quality deliverables.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Managing projects and developing designs in support of various Water Business Line projects
Assisting the Civil Team Leader in managing and mentoring team members
Coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring the delivery of quality products
Performing a wide array of Water Business Line related planning, modeling, and design tasks
Site access and paving design
Distribution systems, including conveyance and network piping, pump stations, storage units and reservoirs
Collection systems, including interceptor, network and outfall piping, pump stations
Coordination with other support disciplines, regional offices and regulating agencies
Quality assurance and quality control
Oversight of engineering technicians and project engineers on various projects
Conducting written and oral project reporting for clients and Team Leader
Preparing and executing Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans
Leading internal and external project workshops
Being responsible for continuing education and learning based on project needs
Construction management for local projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
Must have 4 or more years of similar technical experience
Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (PE)
Previous experience having been in responsible charge of designs, including detailed plans and specifications, for civil engineering projects including linear infrastructure, site development, street and drainage, and water/ wastewater plant improvement work
Must have a strong knowledge base of engineering principals including site development, treatment, collection, and distribution
Must have a basic understanding of the multi-disciplined practices (i.e. process, surveying, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control) required for the implementation of water/wastewater infrastructure improvements
Must have strong communication skills
Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Outlook and pdf format documents
Must be proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D software
Preferred
Prefer 6 or more years of similar technical experience
Professional Engineer (PE) in AR, TX, OK
A Master's Degree in civil or environmental engineering
NCEES Registration
Storm water design experience preferred
