Responsibilities

Investigate coverages and communicate with Insureds, vendors and interested parties

Review and analysis of insurance policies to determine potential areas of coverage

Secure necessary documentation regarding liability and damages

Negotiate settlement with plaintiffs, attorneys or other interested parties

Set accurate and timely claim reserves

Make timely payment of claims

Liaise with department underwriting and product teams, as necessary

Maintain up-to-date adjuster licenses and stay current with industry trends and training

Commercial general liability claimsAdjuster licenseLaw degreeLitigation experience

Required

2 – 7+ years of commercial general liability claims adjusting experience

An active adjuster license

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent analytical skills and ability to concisely summarize claim information, and draft coverage opinion letters

Strong organizational and time management skills

Understanding of applicable statutes, regulations and laws

Maintain accurate and up to date claim files

Ability to work independently and as a team member

Preferred

Law degree and/or litigation experience preferred
