Responsibilities
Work with internal team and external clients to develop renewable project design/construction packages including BESS and wind array layouts, electrical one-lines, collection systems, collection system studies, and equipment installation details for Utility Scale renewable systems (50-500MW+).
Interact directly with clients for successful project execution
Design projects of multi-discipline teams of 2-4 people including a design engineer (focused on the layout, details, etc.), a system studies engineer, with additional support from CAD technicians.
Support development of early-stage projects with conceptual designs and material take-offs.
Contribute to continual development of internal engineering standards, toolsets and work processes.
Turning initial system conceptual ideas into fully developed optimized EPC designs.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required, ABET accredited program, or equivalent required
Engineer in Training (EIT) status or working towards EIT status
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in power systems, with detailed design of Renewable BESS or Wind projects strongly preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be a self-starter and willing to identify improvements and implement them, utilizing support from others
Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered
Due to the dynamic nature of the renewable energy market, the ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies is a must
The position requires the ability to effectively multi-task and manage numerous projects/tasks simultaneously, frequently within aggressive and compressed schedule
Ability to maintain project schedule and achieve target due dates
Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients and external agencies
Must have the ability to work permanently in the US
Preferred
Experience with CYMCAP preferred
Experience with ETAP and or EasyPower Preferred
Knowledge of BESS and or Wind systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices is strongly preferred
