Responsibilities

Understand, advocate and support the enterprise’s data management strategies

Build durable relationships with data architecture stakeholders to understand needs, articulate benefits, identify outcomes, and garner consensus on delivery approaches

Translate strategic requirements into a usable architecture to achieve consistency and security of data assets across information systems

Design and guide the implementation of enterprise orchestration and data integration processes that connect information systems

Provide design advisory services to product owners and technical teams for best practice implementations that align with the strategic data architecture target state

Contribute project artifacts to the enterprise architecture content repository, such as definition documents, requirements specifications, catalogs, matrices, and diagrams

Lead and participate in peer reviews and quality assurance of project enterprise architectural artifacts through governance forums

Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management, storage, and analytics

Maintain knowledge of data asset regulations, best practices, policies, and security techniques

Be passionate about data, analytics, and automation

Promote DataOps principles

Required

Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, or equivalent practical experience

Over eight years of architecture experience, including at least five years of data architecture experience

Deep understanding of data management concepts

Experience in an environment where enterprise architecture operates as an internal management consultancy

Strong technical acumen and ability to lead an implementation process

Effective communication skills, both written and oral, to clearly convey complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience

Success in garnering consensus and executing projects among a globally distributed workforce

Experience in large-scale implementations of modern data architectures in a public cloud

Expertise in implementing solutions in hybrid (cloud & on-prem) environments

Preferred

Experience with Microsoft-centric data platforms, including SQL Server Enterprise, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Fabric, is highly desirable

Experience in Financial Services is highly desirable, and experience specifically in Exchange Traded Derivatives is especially valuable

DAMA CDMP or TOGAF EA certification is desirable
