Responsibilities

Provide primary oversight of NERC GO Internal Compliance Plan (ICP)
Ensure ongoing compliance timelines are achieved
Ensure internal teams receive training and have basic tools for maintaining compliance
Ensure external consultants and vendors appropriately manage contracted tasks and responsibilities
Ensure maintenance of compliance evidence in a way that displays compliance with the various standards
Support site onboarding such that NERC registration concurs with PPA COD
Ensure senior leadership has a base understanding of NERC standards and the company’s responsibility to comply with those standards
Ensure all internal team members across the organization who manage scope that could impact compliance are trained to understand and appropriately support the compliance program
Oversee procedures and processes that ensure the GOP and other contractors performing work at NERC facilities are appropriately following the ICP
Serve as CIP Senior Manager
Complete self-assessments and attestations
Oversee NERC GOP vendors to ensure physical and electronic security practices are followed to prevent cyber attacks
Create and present executive-facing business cases for plans on how to best manage the NERC/CIP scope across 13+ entities with a primary focus on NERC GO and Cyber Security Program scope
Complete tasks to maintain compliance
Provide frequent executive-facing updates on the health of the compliance program
Maintain knowledge of compliance changes and create strategic procedures to address and comply with future standards additions and changes
Participate in NERC industry meetings to both remain aware of upcoming changes to NERC reliability standards and to influence the writing of those standards such that solar operation is optimized
Direct NERC CIP audits as required by hosting NERC personnel and directing both internal and external entities to thoroughly answer all questions
Develop plan for compliance with NERC compliance threshold change in May 2026 including: Assess SRC operating fleet to evaluate sites needing retroactive registration in 2026, Assess SRC development fleet to evaluate new sites that will be required to meet NERC compliance in 2026, Identify vendors to provide control center support for sites where SRC currently performs maintenance in-house (if control center not planned)
Create and present quarterly assessments on the performance of our GOP for NERC-based scope and of our other compliance vendors
Perform research and organize plans as needed to support decisions on NERC GOP scope management and a NERC Compliant Control Center
Oversee the feedback loop around compliance to ensure insights across the lifecycle of NERC projects and NERC requirement updates are fed into NERC projects in the company pipeline
Oversee database of project registrations with EIA
Oversee team members responsible for maintaining monthly, quarterly and annual EIA submissions
Manage process around re-certification of QF facilities
Oversee team members responsible for providing quarterly and annual site report
Provide strategic direction and manage the process of meeting requirements for compliance with regional operations requirements

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft suite.
