Required

Must be a student enrolled full-time pursuing an accredited degree seeking program in Data Science or a related degree program and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship

Understanding of or experience with statistical software and data visualization tools such as Python or R

Sustained excellence in academic performance

The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance

Preferred

Experience having applied data science learning to an internship or research/lab position

Demonstrated interest in serving the public

Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python (scikit-learn, NumPy, pandas, Jupyter), Scala/Java, C/C++/C#, Objective C; database design & development (SQL, Neo4J, MongoDB); AWS

Demonstrated interest in growing domain knowledge

Demonstrated interest in working on a team
