Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for the private equity firm and its portfolio companies.
Manage tax provisions, including the calculation of current and deferred tax liabilities, uncertain tax positions, and effective tax rates.
Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance and reporting.
Assist with tax planning, research, and analysis of various tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, tax credits, and tax-efficient structuring.
Prepare and review tax workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for tax audits.
Collaborate with the finance team on financial reporting and accounting matters, as they relate to taxes.
Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and guidance, and assess their impact on the firm and its portfolio companies.
Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures related to tax compliance and reporting.
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is a plus.
Minimum of 4-6 years of tax accounting experience, preferably with a focus on private equity or related industries.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, as well as tax provisions.
Experience with tax research and analysis, including the ability to interpret and apply tax laws and guidance.
Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex tax matters in a clear and concise manner.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Preferred
CPA or working towards obtaining a CPA license is preferred.
