Responsibilities

Sales Tax Compliance: Prepare complex sales tax returns and ensure timely filing.

Sales Tax Accounting: Prepare sales tax accounting entries and perform reconciliations.

Advising Other Departments: Advise on sales tax implications of new products/services.

Income Tax Return/Provision: Prepare income tax return and provision workpapers, with oversight and guidance.

Audits and Notices: Analyze tax positions in response to simple notices and audit requests.

Tax Records: Manage tax records and support record retrieval for audits.

Tax Policy: Assist in analyzing tax policy changes and prepare summaries.

Software: Utilize tax software for preparing returns and troubleshoot minor issues.

Planning and Strategy: Participate in tax planning activities and implement guided strategies.

Research and Tax Law Changes: Analyze the impact of tax law changes and provide summaries to the manager.
