Responsibilities
Process semi-monthly payroll in partnership with People and Culture Team
Reconcile quarterly payroll reports filed with the IRS (Internal Revenue Service)
Process Accounts Payable invoices and schedule weekly payments
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations including bank and credit card statement reconciliations; research and resolve any discrepancies
Maintain prepaid reconciliations
Perform account analyses in support of monthly closing schedule
Other projects as assigned
Issue 1099 Forms to AP vendors
Work closely with the Controller on the annual Financial Audit
Support the annual 401K Audit
Assist in the preparation of the annual Form 990

Required
Strong commitment to the mission, policies and goals of Rewiring America
Minimum 5-7 Years of Experience of equivalent level Senior Accountant experience required; working knowledge of nonprofit audit and accounting experience preferred.
Experience running payroll for 100+ employees
Comfort working in general ledger applications; experience with NetSuite a plus
Experience with AP/AR and audit work
Strong computer skills, and especially experience with Microsoft Excel
Highly detail oriented and organized
Desire to work collaboratively and participate as a member of a diverse team
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Experience with nonprofit background preferred
Excellent references demonstrating a strong track record in performance
