TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking an experienced Psychiatry Associate Program Director to assist with a 31-resident GME program in Nashville, TN. The role involves practicing and teaching full-spectrum adult psychiatry, providing clinical supervision of residents, and contributing to the development of psychiatric education.

Responsibilities

Practice and teach full-spectrum adult psychiatry

100% outpatient

Provide clinical supervision of residents

Experience in research desired but not required

Commitment to providing high quality, evidenced based patient care

Provide clinical supervision of residents

Serve as an advisor and role model

Teach didactics and lead curriculum development

Commitment to teach psychiatric residents and shape the future of psychiatry

10 hrs. per week dedicated to the APD role

30 hrs. per week dedicated to outpatient clinical work

Qualification

Board Certification in PsychiatryTennessee LicensureDEA with Prescriptive AuthorityACGME-accredited ExperienceResearch ExperienceHigh Quality Patient CareTeaching Skills

Required

Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

Tennessee licensure or ability to obtain

DEA with full prescriptive authority

Commitment to providing high quality, evidenced based patient care

Previous participation as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program or graduate medical education administrative experience is highly desired
