Responsibilities

Conduct targeted literature reviews to synthesize results from existing studies on the long-term effects of breast cancer treatment, identifying important research gaps.
Develop skills in statistical programming and perform simple epidemiological analyses.
Communicate research objectives, methods, results, and conclusions effectively through scientific writing and presentations.
Participate in weekly meetings with Dr. Ramin to discuss research progress and goals.
Engage in a culminating project that involves drafting a scientific manuscript and/or poster based on internship findings.

Required

Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
Must reside in the greater Los Angeles area or surrounding cities during the internship.
Must be able to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week on-site (remote work can be considered for specific tasks).
Interns: Must be eligible to receive academic credit for the duration of the internship.
Visitors: Must be funded by an eligible sponsoring institution (e.g., employer, educator, funder).

Preferred

Preferred: 12 months
Minimum: 6 months
