Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality backend applications using deep knowledge of Python and serverless software architecture.

Drive the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

Design and implement complex software systems, ensuring they meet performance, security, and reliability standards.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, leading them in adopting best practices, developing robust architectures, and writing high-quality, maintainable code.

Work closely with the CTO and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, innovative technical solutions.

Foster a collaborative, learning-oriented team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Participate in architectural discussions, technology evaluations, and solution design sessions.

Required

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Expertise in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed software systems, with a strong understanding of system architecture and design patterns.

Ability to navigate complex systems and understand the nuances of their functionality.

Expert-level Python skills required.

Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud-based data storage solutions (e.g., AWS S3, DynamoDB, etc.).

Knowledge of serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda.

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Understanding of software security best practices, including threat modeling, secure coding, and compliance requirements.

Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

Experience in the AI and machine learning domain.

Professional-level AWS certification.

Prior experience in a high-growth or startup environment.
