Responsibilities
Serve as the assigned point of contact for assigned insurance carrier clients, addressing their needs and inquiries promptly and professionally.
Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers within assigned client organizations. Work with relationship partners for client account management and satisfaction during the full lifecycle of clients.
Coordinate regular updates and meetings with clients and relationship partners to discuss their needs, feedback, and opportunities for improvement, along with opportunity for expansion and providing value-add services.
Identify and resolve client issues, collaborating with internal teams to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
Ensure a smooth onboarding transition for new clients. This includes communicating a clear understanding of client expectations within the firm, facilitating introductions, and providing a clear understanding of our firm’s services and processes for new clients.
Prepare and present regular reports on client status, service delivery, and satisfaction levels both externally with the client and internally.
Work with the BD team to develop client scorecards of client KPIs and share results with clients.
Have regular internal client-specific meetings across practice sections to understand needs and issues at a client versus practice level.
Stay informed about industry trends and developments in insurance and legal services to provide valuable insights to clients.
Gather and maintain client-specific intelligence, including growth goals, strategies, key operational approaches, decisionmakers and competition.
Stay informed about carrier activities to identify opportunities for the retention of new clients and enhancement of existing client relationships.
Working in close collaboration with Practice Section leadership, Legal Operations and Marketing, aid in the execution of retention of new clients and cross-selling strategies of existing clients.
Attend Practice Section meetings and work with Practice Section leadership on business development training and business opportunities for attorneys.
Input key client updates into our client database.
Onboard attorney hires on the roles that BD provides and how we will work together on client relation and business development matters. For lateral hires, understand attorney key clients and skills/expertise.
Participate and attend industry events to enhance client relationships and identify opportunities for new clients.

Required
Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in client relations or business development within a law firm or a TPA
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, with attention to detail
Preferred
Knowledge of the property & casualty insurance industry, litigation management or civil litigation defense
Knowledge of business development processes
