Responsibilities
Lead the configuration and deployment of the Collibra data catalog system.
Expert in Collibra implementation- technical metadata ingestion using edge, Collibra workflows, lineage harvester, data profiling, sample data ingestion, data quality and data classification etc.
Ensure the catalog accurately reflects the organization’s data assets and meets business requirements.
Collect, organize, and manage metadata within the Collibra platform.
Ensure metadata is accurate, complete, and provides meaningful context for data users.
Implement and maintain data classification standards to enhance data discoverability and governance.
Work closely with business units, data scientists, and IT teams to capture and document catalog use cases.
Translate business needs into technical requirements for the data catalog.
Expert in Collibra technical lineage for data sources, BI platforms, ETL and ERP tools, automated stitching, understanding and capturing STTM, customized lineage and integration development.
Implement and manage data classification schemes to ensure data is categorized appropriately based on sensitivity and usage.
Collaborate with other catalog SMEs to share knowledge and best practices.
Provide expertise and support to ensure the effective use of the Collibra data catalog.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the data catalog system.
Identify opportunities for enhancements and implement improvements to optimize the catalog’s functionality and user experience.
