Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems for various projects, including AC power distribution, lighting (both interior and exterior), fire alarm, and other building support systems.
Coordinate project requirements and specifications with a multidisciplinary team, including clients, contractors, code officials, and utility companies.
Perform electrical calculations such as photometrics, voltage drop, and fault current analyses.
Design power distribution systems, including panelboards, switchboards, overcurrent protection, transformers, disconnects, and generators.
Conduct energy code compliance analysis and prepare related documentation.
Use industry-standard software for lighting design (e.g., ElumTools, Lithonia Visual) and electrical modeling (e.g., SKM).
Oversee and review the work of Electrical Designers and ensure project specifications are met.
Stay updated on applicable codes and standards, including the NEC, NFPA 101, NFPA 72, and relevant building and energy codes.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
Professional Engineering (PE) license required, with multistate eligibility preferred
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design of electrical systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, healthcare, or multifamily projects
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and components, including equipment types and industry standards
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP
Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively within a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to attend and contribute in project meetings
Preferred
Multistate eligibility for Professional Engineering (PE) license
