Responsibilities
Design and develop comprehensive professional development programs focused on literacy education.
Implement training sessions, workshops, and seminars for educators to enhance their instructional skills and strategies.
Utilize data-driven approaches to continuously improve professional development offerings.
Collaborate with the curriculum development team to ensure alignment between professional development programs and Just Right Reader’s educational resources.
Evaluate and recommend instructional materials and technologies that support effective teaching practices.
Work closely with school administrators, teachers, and educational leaders to identify professional development needs and customize programs accordingly.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partner schools and districts to support their literacy initiatives.
Be a leader on the Professional Development team, providing guidance and support to other Professional Development Specialists.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that prioritizes continuous improvement and excellence.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of professional development programs through surveys, feedback, and performance metrics.
Prepare and present detailed reports on program outcomes and impact to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Required
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in education, professional development, adult learning or related roles within an educational or nonprofit setting
Strong understanding of adult learning principles in an educational context
Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse educators
Demonstrated knowledge of the Science of Reading and effective instructional strategies for implementation of this body of research
Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to interpret data to measure program impact and inform decision-making
Experience with presentation design, project management, and cross-functional collaboration
Preferred
Master’s degree in Education or a related field
Leadership experience is strongly preferred
Bilingual skills preferred
